Jazz on TNT

"Beat LA, Beat LA, Beat LA" Chants could be heard all around Salt Lake City as the final horn blew.  Yes, this game was huge for the Jazz.  Yes, they were coming off of a 5 game losing streak.  Yes, they were 3-7 in the last ten games.  Yes, they were the very young underdogs.  Yes, this team was mixed up with two huge deals just two days before the game began.  But still Yes, they won, and they won by double digits.  These Jazz youngsters would not give up against the stacked Lakers crew of: Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Antwan Jamison, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard.  Each Jazz youngster scored except for Alec Burks, who still enjoyed a steal and a block.  Austin Rivers was named the Jordan Player of the Game:

It's Simple, Mo Got Hot.

Mo Williams "In your eye" Buzzer beater shot to send the Jazz into overtime
"Man, I can't believe it.  I simply got hot." That pretty much explains it all, being down 7 with 40 seconds left that is pretty much the only line you can say.  In the game Mo drilled 9 threes, a new record, and shot 100% from three, he only missed one of his 12 field goals and ended with 34 points.  Carmello Anthony also scored a game high 18 points in the first half and played very well.  With 1/2 second left Mo Williams hit a dagger to tie it all up.  Bottom line of this game; DANG!

They fought hard but just couldn't steal a win.  The final score was 69-65 Bobcats, They now are below .500 at 3-4 and at 21 in the power rankings.  This match was a story of one on one with Mo Williams grabbing 25 points and Ramon Sessions tossing in 27.  But when it came down to it Kemba Walker was the deciding factor with 17 points.  The Jazz on the other hand have been an exciting team with a lot of potential, it will be fun to watch this team grow and possibly contend.

Rockets overcome Jazz 56-49

Too little too late is this games obvious story line.  The Jazz must have noticed they were down by 16 when the game was pretty much over.  Gordon Hayward was the one and only bright spot today but did it mostly in garbage time.  He shot 5-8 from the three point line and 8- 13 FG's which made him end up with twenty-one points.  Meanwhile Houston's trio of Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lin, and Chandler Parsons combined for 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists while only giving up 1 TO.

21 points is a lot in a five minute game don't be denied, but it isn't enough when your all alone being the only one doing any thing.

Report says that Jazz's Marvin Williams is attempting to sign a contract extension
Scoring Shooting Guard from Bosnia Asmir Pekmic has declared for the 2013 NBA Draft

NBA 2K13 officially releases cover.

Just as we thought from the teaser image NBA 2K13 has 3 different covers just like 2K12. The cover boys are Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, and Kevin Durant. But also in the teaser image was the Brooklyn bridge which was meant to represent Michael Jordan showing that he will have a big role in the game. Also in a couple of weeks NBA 2K13 is said to have the biggest announcement in 2K sports history.  Kataku has a great article about this same thing right here.  And you will get that information as soon as it comes out right here at nbabasketballvideogames.blogspot.com. Don't forget to comment what you think about the cover below.

NBA video games slipping out major clues to their cover boy.

NBA 2k has let a cover teaser accidentally slip out. Before this image got slipped out, Ronnie2k told his twitter followers to continuously tweet#UncoverNBA2K and for every tweet sent a new pixel would be added and so in this image you can clearly tell two blue griffins, seemingly representing Blake Griffin, eight red roses, supposedly representing Derrick Rose, and a gold tarantula , which would represent Kevin Durant (The Durantula). So what they could do is put all three on the cover, like Fifa traditionally does, or maybe three different covers like NBA 2K12 did with Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

What this teaser could also mean is that it will only be Kevin Durant.  As you see above Kevin Durant has tattoos on his chest the very top right tattoo is of a rose and the very top left tattoo is of a griffin.  So Durant is for sure the cover boy of NBA 2k13, while Derrick Rose and Blake Griffin could be in there too.

NBA Live has also released a teaser image, except theirs is different.  It doesn't give clues it just shows the exact cover except for the cover boy is darkened out.  But there cover shows one clue that I caught and it was that the man was wearing a headband that can only mean one thing.  It is LeBron James or Rajon Rondo and if you look hard you see a beard as well which means that LeBron James is going to get his first cover appearance the same year he gets his first ring.

We are not completely sure these men are the cover boys.  But I am sure that these clues do point out that these men have a very good shot at it.
